1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit a website. They help websites remember your preferences, authenticate your identity, and analyze how you use the site.

IntelME uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to provide a secure, personalized experience and to improve our services.

2. Types of Cookies We Use

  • Update this Cookie Policy with details about advertising cookies
  • Provide opt-out instructions for personalized ads
  • Notify users via email before implementation

Pro tier users will never see ads, regardless of whether advertising cookies are introduced.

3. Third-Party Cookies

IntelME uses third-party services that may set their own cookies when you use our platform:

3.1 OAuth Authentication Providers

3.2 Payment Processors

We do not control third-party cookies. Please review the privacy policies of these services for details on how they use cookies.

4. How to Manage Cookies

4.1 Browser Settings

Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can:

  • View and delete existing cookies
  • Block all cookies
  • Block third-party cookies only
  • Clear cookies when you close your browser

How to manage cookies in popular browsers:

  • Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data (Instructions)
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data (Instructions)
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data (Instructions)
  • Microsoft Edge: Settings → Privacy, search, and services → Cookies (Instructions)

4.2 Impact of Blocking Cookies

If you block essential cookies:

  • You will not be able to log in to IntelME
  • Your session will not persist between pages
  • Some features may not work properly

If you block analytics or functional cookies:

  • IntelME will still function normally
  • You may need to re-enter preferences each session
  • We will have less data to improve our service

4.3 Do Not Track (DNT)

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. However, there is no industry standard for how to respond to DNT signals. IntelME currently does not alter its behavior based on DNT settings, but we use privacy-focused analytics by default.

5. Cookie Lifespan

Cookies have different lifespans:

  • Session Cookies: Deleted when you close your browser (e.g., authentication state)
  • Persistent Cookies: Remain on your device for a set period (e.g., 30 days for refresh tokens) or until you manually delete them

6. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in our use of cookies or legal requirements. When we make changes:

  • We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top
  • We will notify you via email for significant changes (e.g., introduction of advertising cookies)
  • Changes take effect immediately upon posting

We recommend reviewing this page periodically to stay informed about our cookie practices.
