1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to IntelME! By accessing or using our website, services, or applications (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use IntelME.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("you," "your," or "User") and IntelME ("we," "our," or "us"). Please read them carefully.

2. Description of Service

IntelME is an AI-powered intelligence platform that provides:

  • Curated News Feeds: AI-aggregated news across multiple industries (AI, Medicine, BioTech, Built Environment, Legal)
  • AI-Generated Insights: Automated analysis, summaries, and significance scoring of news articles
  • Email Digests: Daily or weekly curated email summaries (Pro tier only)
  • Personalized Experience: Customizable feed preferences and notification settings

2.1 AI-Powered Automation

IntelME is an AI automation-powered business. Our platform uses advanced artificial intelligence technology to:

  • Aggregate news from publicly available RSS feeds and sources
  • Analyze content quality, relevance, and significance
  • Generate summaries, insights, and commentary
  • Curate personalized digests and recommendations

All content curation and analysis is automated. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or biases. Always verify critical information with original sources.

3. Account Registration

3.1 Account Creation

To access certain features, you must create an account using:

  • Google OAuth (Google account login)
  • GitHub OAuth (GitHub account login)

By creating an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain and update your information as needed
  • Keep your account credentials secure and confidential
  • Immediately notify us of any unauthorized access or security breach
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

3.2 Account Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use IntelME. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

4. Subscription Tiers & Pricing

4.1 Free Tier

Free tier users receive:

  • Access to all news feeds (AI, Medicine, BioTech, Built, Legal)
  • Unlimited article browsing
  • Basic article summaries and insights

Free tier limitations:

  • No email digests
  • Advertisements displayed on website and in future email features
  • No access to digest archive

4.2 Pro Tier

Pro tier subscribers receive all Free tier features, plus:

  • Daily or weekly AI-curated email digests
  • Ad-free experience (web and email)
  • Access to digest archive (web interface)
  • Early access to new feeds and features
  • Priority support

Pricing:

  • India: ₹149/month or ₹1,188/year (₹99/month when billed annually)
  • Global: $9/month or $89/year (save 17%)

4.3 Billing & Payment

Pro subscriptions are processed through:

  • Razorpay (India) - for INR payments
  • Paddle (Global) - for USD/international payments

Automatic Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) unless you cancel before the renewal date.

Payment Authorization: By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method for the applicable fees, including taxes where required.

4.4 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change our pricing at any time. We will provide at least 30 days' notice via email before any price increase takes effect for existing subscribers. Continued use after price changes constitutes acceptance of new pricing.

5. Cancellation & Refunds

5.1 Cancellation

You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time from your account settings. Upon cancellation:

  • You will retain Pro access until the end of your current billing period
  • Your account will automatically downgrade to Free tier after the paid period ends
  • No further charges will be made
  • You will not receive a refund for the remaining days in your billing period

5.2 Refund Policy

General Policy: All subscription payments are non-refundable, except in the following cases:

  • Service Outage: If IntelME is unavailable for more than 72 consecutive hours due to our error
  • Billing Errors: If you were charged incorrectly due to technical error
  • Duplicate Charges: If you were charged multiple times for the same subscription

Good Faith Exceptions: If you experience a legitimate issue with our service, email us at hello@intelme.ai within 7 days of your charge. We will review your case on an individual basis and may offer a refund or credit at our discretion.

No Partial Refunds: We do not provide pro-rated refunds for cancellations mid-billing period. You will retain access until your subscription expires.

6. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use IntelME only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You may NOT:

6.1 Prohibited Activities

  • Scraping or Crawling: Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to extract content from IntelME
  • Reselling Content: Republish, resell, or redistribute IntelME content or digests
  • Sharing Pro Content: Share Pro-tier digests or exclusive content publicly (e.g., posting full digests on social media, blogs, or forums)
  • Account Sharing: Share your account credentials with others or allow multiple people to use a single account
  • Circumventing Paywalls: Attempt to bypass subscription restrictions or access Pro features without payment
  • Reverse Engineering: Decompile, disassemble, or reverse engineer any part of IntelME
  • Security Violations: Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, networks, or user accounts
  • Harmful Content: Use IntelME to transmit viruses, malware, or harmful code
  • Impersonation: Impersonate IntelME, our employees, or other users
  • Legal Violations: Use IntelME for any illegal purpose or to violate local, national, or international law

6.2 Enforcement

Violations of this Acceptable Use Policy may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without refund, and we may report violations to law enforcement if necessary.

7. Intellectual Property & Content Ownership

7.1 IntelME's Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality on IntelME (including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, AI-generated summaries, digests, algorithms, software, and design) are owned by IntelME and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from IntelME content without our express written permission.

7.2 Third-Party Content & Fair Use

IntelME aggregates news from publicly available sources and generates transformative AI commentary and analysis. This falls under fair use for the following reasons:

  • Transformative Use: We provide AI-generated analysis, commentary, and curation—not mere republication
  • Attribution: We credit original sources and link directly to original articles
  • Limited Excerpts: We use brief excerpts and summaries, not full article text
  • Non-Commercial News Aggregation: Our use serves informational and educational purposes

Content Ownership: Original news articles and sources remain the property of their respective publishers. IntelME claims no ownership over original source content—only over our AI-generated summaries, insights, and curation.

7.3 DMCA & Copyright Complaints

If you believe IntelME has infringed your copyright, please send a DMCA notice to hello@intelme.ai with:

  • Identification of the copyrighted work
  • URL of the allegedly infringing content on IntelME
  • Your contact information
  • A statement of good faith belief that use is not authorized
  • A statement that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act

We will respond promptly to valid DMCA notices and remove content where appropriate.

8. Disclaimers & Limitations of Liability

8.1 Service "As-Is"

IntelME is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

  • Merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement
  • Uninterrupted, secure, or error-free service
  • Accuracy, reliability, or completeness of content
  • Correction of defects or errors

8.2 AI Content Disclaimer

IMPORTANT: IntelME uses artificial intelligence to generate summaries, insights, and analysis. AI-generated content may:

  • Contain factual errors, inaccuracies, or misinterpretations
  • Reflect biases present in training data or source content
  • Be outdated or incomplete
  • Lack nuance or context present in original sources

IntelME is for informational purposes only. Do not rely solely on AI-generated summaries for:

  • Medical, legal, or financial advice
  • Business or investment decisions
  • Scientific research or academic citation
  • Any critical decision-making

Always verify critical information with original sources before acting. IntelME is not a substitute for professional advice, original reporting, or primary research.

8.3 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INTELME AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
  • Decisions made based on IntelME content or AI-generated insights
  • Service interruptions, downtime, or technical errors
  • Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
  • Third-party content, links, or services

Maximum Liability: Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of IntelME shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or $100 USD if you are a Free tier user).

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless IntelME and its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use or misuse of IntelME
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights
  • Your breach of applicable laws or regulations

10. Termination

10.1 Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time by deleting your account from your profile settings or by emailing us at hello@intelme.ai.

10.2 Termination by IntelME

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without prior notice, if:

  • You violate these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy
  • You engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
  • Your payment method fails or is disputed
  • We are required to do so by law
  • We discontinue IntelME services (with 30 days' notice)

No Refunds on Termination: If we terminate your account for cause, you will not receive a refund for any prepaid subscription fees.

10.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to access IntelME immediately ceases. We will delete your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy (within 30 days), except where retention is required by law.

11. Dispute Resolution

11.1 Informal Resolution

If you have a dispute with IntelME, please contact us first at hello@intelme.ai so we can try to resolve it informally. Most issues can be resolved quickly through direct communication.

11.2 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles.

11.3 Jurisdiction

Any legal action or proceeding arising from these Terms shall be governed by the laws of India and brought exclusively in the courts of competent jurisdiction in India, and you consent to the jurisdiction of such courts.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or business practices. When we make material changes:

  • We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top
  • We will notify you via email (for significant changes)
  • We will post a notice on our website for 30 days

Your continued use of IntelME after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using IntelME and cancel your subscription.

13. Miscellaneous

13.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and IntelME regarding your use of the Service.

13.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

13.3 Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.

13.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your account without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms to any successor in interest.

13.5 No Agency

No agency, partnership, joint venture, or employment relationship is created between you and IntelME as a result of these Terms or your use of the Service.
